Compact Membrane Systems was named the 2nd place winner in the 2017 IQ-Chem Petrochemicals Startup Contest for the development of Optiperm for the separation of olefins and paraffins. The contest was designed to recognize innovations targeting the petrochemicals industry.
Sibur was the overall sponsor of the contest with judges from partner organizations such as Dow Chemical, Honeywell UOP, Linde, Technip, 3M, and others. Over 250 startup companies entered the contest and 11 were chosen to present in Moscow as part of the Startup Village event at Skolkovo Innovation Center. CMS will be awarded $10,000 for its efforts.
