Carbon Capture Rig Passes with Flying Colors

Chemical Engineer, Max Roberts, remotely accessing the rig to conduct a digital Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), demonstrating how the rig operates to the customer.

As part of our series of updates about our Optiperm™ Carbon membrane pilots in the field, we’re excited to share our latest development!

Today’s milestone: We have successfully completed Factory Acceptance Testing of the first of the three carbon capture rigs, that will be going out this year to pilot partners in the steel, petrochemical, and refractory materials industries.

What does this mean? The rig is working as expected and we’ve demonstrated the controls and remote operation to the customer.

Chief Operations Officer, Bill Charlton, and Chemical Engineer, Max Roberts, finalizing shake out testing on the rig, assessing alarms, and ensuring the equipment functions properly.

Now that testing is complete, the rig is ready to be shipped to OMV in Austria where it will be installed and commissioned.

Stay tuned to track the progress of the pilot!
