Erica Nemser

Chief Executive

Erica comes to CMS following 13 years at McKinsey, serving clients on product launch, portfolio optimization, operations, brand management, acquisition, and stakeholder management. At McKinsey, Erica led several global change initiatives. She holds a PhD in Economics from UPenn.

Hannah Murnen

Chief Technical Officer

Hannah previously spent several years at McKinsey and Company working with industrial and materials companies. She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley and a BE from Dartmouth College.

Sudip Majumdar

Chief Membranologist

Sudip is an expert membranologist, leading research programs and acts as technical director on product development programs. Sudip has a PhD in Chemical Engineering.

William Charlton

VP, Olefins and Operations

Bill comes to CMS after 25 years in the refining industry, most recently at Philadelphia Energy Solutions and Sunoco. Bill’s experience includes roles across the refining enterprise: operations, engineering, capital projects, and new technology integration

Stuart Nemser

Founder and Chairman

Stuart is the founder and chairman of Compact Membrane Systems. Prior to CMS he held a range of engineering and management positions at DuPont. Stu earned SB, SM and ScD degrees in chemical engineering from MIT.

Irene Goncharovsky

Senior Product Development Engineer

Irene leads prototype and development programs for new products and line extensions. With a background in chemical engineering, Irene acts as the product design liaison between engineering, research, and manufacturing.

Ken Loprete

New Product Development Manager

Ken heads up the flat sheet product development. With a background in chemical engineering, he brings an expertise of membrane design and scale up to rapidly bring the highest quality products to new and existing customers.

Christine Parrish

Business Development Lead

Christine has a background in chemical engineering and material science. She focuses on new feasibility testing and designing membrane systems for pervaporation applications.

Ken Pennisi

Senior Process Engineer

Ken brings 30+ years of chemical engineering experience to the process design group at CMS. He focuses on modeling and designing new and efficient membrane processes.
