Chief Commercial Officer

Full Time Position Posting

The Position

Lead commercial development planning and deployment for new Optiperm products, building design and development partnerships, executing and expanding existing partnerships, marketing, sales, customer management, and business development.  Coordination with product and technical teams on key product and market decisions.

In coordination with the existing CMS leadership, you will be operating as an individual contributor in this role as you scale the commercial team.

Responsibilities in a problem solving and innovative environment

  • Set commercial strategy across Optiperm™ platform, including defining necessary partnerships, business models and product positioning
  • Build on existing, and develop new, partnerships and collaborations with customers
  • Plan and execute product launch, including coordination on marketing and other functions
  • Create and deliver go to market approach: target customer segments, collaborations and partnerships, pivotal messages and vehicles
  • Ruthlessly assess, judge, synthesize and prioritize in the face of new information and developments, while maintaining focus on big picture deliverables
  • Upward manage, collaborate, and coordinate across a start-up organization as well as with Fortune 500 companies
  • Work in a team environment requiring clear communication and listening skills
  • Direction setting and team management of daily, weekly, and long-term tasks and goals (via OKR or other method)

You have experience

  • Experience in leading commercial strategy and execution of a new product in a start-up environment
  • History of tackling ambiguous problems and ability to structure a novel, effective pathway to solving them
  • Building and leading a highly dynamic and collaborative team and with effective ability to manage daily, weekly, and long-term tasks and goals
  • Strength in developing people
  • Tours of duty in commercial, bus dev, sales, product
  • Experience or knowledge of one or more key industries: Climate Tech, Chemicals, Renewable Energy, Oil and Gas
  • Relevant technical backgrounds are a plus: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
